A drill pipe is a steel tube with threaded connections at both ends, used to connect surface drilling equipment to the bottom-hole assembly (BHA) and transmit drilling fluid (mud) to the bit. It serves as the conduit for circulating drilling fluid while simultaneously rotating, lowering, or raising the downhole tools.
