Three-Wing Concave PDC Drag Bit for Soft to Medium Hard Formations
The three-wing concave PDC drag bit is specifically designed for efficient rotary drilling in soft to medium hard formations (F<8). Featuring a concave three-wing structure and premium PDC cutters with reinforced center teeth, it provides excellent directional stability, enhanced center rock breaking capability, and smooth cuttings removal, effectively reducing risks of sticking and deviation.
Widely used in gas drainage holes, grouting holes, shallow water wells, geological exploration holes, slope anchoring, and other engineering applications.

Concave blade design allows center PDC cutters to contact the formation first, enhancing center rock breaking capability and avoiding drilling resistance caused by “center blank”. Provides faster penetration rate in soft formations.

Three-wing concave structure naturally forms a guiding profile, minimizing radial vibration during drilling and providing superior hole verticality. Effectively reduces hole deviation, suitable for applications requiring straight hole accuracy.
Smooth Cuttings Removal & Anti-Balling
Concave cavity combined with large cuttings grooves and optimized hydraulic channels allows cuttings to be quickly removed with circulating fluid, reducing accumulation and significantly minimizing bit balling and sticking risks.
Wear-Resistant & Cost-Effective
Premium PDC cutters with even distribution ensure balanced force on blades and uniform wear. Concave structure protects edge cutters, extending overall bit life and reducing cost per meter drilled.
Applications
Suitable Formations
Red sandstone, mudstone, coal seam, soft shale, soft limestone, and other soft to medium hard homogeneous formations.
Note: Not recommended for extremely hard or highly abrasive formations such as granite or basalt.
Drilling Method
Rotary Drilling – Recommended to use with mud circulation or water circulation for efficient bit cooling and cuttings removal, improving drilling efficiency and extending bit life.
