On June 10, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming a client from Brazil for an in-depth factory visit and technical discussion regarding our 5-blade PDC oil drill bits.
This visit marked an important step in strengthening cooperation within the South American oil and gas drilling market.
From Initial Inquiry to On-Site Evaluation
Our communication with the Brazilian client began earlier this year through technical exchanges regarding medium-hard and interbedded formations encountered in their oil drilling projects.
The client expressed specific interest in:
- 5-blade PDC oil drill bits
- Optimized cutter density for stable ROP
- Enhanced wear resistance in abrasive layers
- Improved hydraulic structure for cuttings evacuation
Over several weeks, our engineering team reviewed formation data shared by the client, including:
- Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) range
- Rotary speed (RPM) parameters
- Weight on Bit (WOB) recommendations
- Mud properties and flow rate conditions
After evaluating drawings and technical specifications, the client decided to visit our manufacturing facility for direct inspection.
Detailed Factory Tour and Technical Verification
Upon arrival on June 10, our management and engineering teams welcomed the Brazilian delegation and arranged a comprehensive factory tour.
The visit covered:
The client carefully observed the five-blade body machining process and cutter placement precision. Particular attention was given to cutter alignment accuracy, brazing temperature control, blade reinforcement structure, and gauge protection design.
We explained how the 5-blade configuration balances aggressive cutting capability, structural stability, smooth torque control, and enhanced borehole quality. The client appreciated the transparency of our production process and the clarity of our quality control procedures.

Technical Discussion and Customized Configuration
Following the factory tour, both teams conducted a focused technical meeting.
Key discussion points included:
- Cutter size selection (13mm vs 16mm PDC cutters)
- Blade profile design for medium-hard formations
- Hydraulic port positioning for improved bottom-hole cleaning
- Gauge pad reinforcement for extended tool life
- Expected footage performance per bit
Based on the Brazilian oil field conditions, our engineering team recommended a reinforced five-blade PDC drill bit design with optimized cutter back rake and enhanced anti-vibration structure. The discussion remained practical and data-driven, centered on improving drilling efficiency while maintaining cost control.
Confirmation of 80 PDC Drill Bits Order
After reviewing the technical proposal and production standards, the client confirmed an initial purchase order of 80 sets of 5-blade PDC oil drill bits.
The order includes:
- Standard API connection configuration
- Customized cutter density arrangement
- Reinforced blade hardfacing
- Optimized hydraulic nozzle layout
Production scheduling was finalized on the same day, and delivery timelines were clearly defined. This confirmed order reflects mutual confidence built through transparent communication and technical professionalism.

Strengthening Cooperation with the Brazilian Oil Market
Brazil remains a significant oil-producing region with demanding drilling environments. Reliable PDC drill bit performance is essential for improving Rate of Penetration (ROP), reducing trip frequency, controlling operational cost, and ensuring wellbore stability.
This cooperation demonstrates our capability to support international oil and gas projects with customized PDC drilling solutions. Long-term cooperation is based on consistent quality, engineering support and responsive service.
Moving Forward
We sincerely thank our Brazilian client for their visit and trust.
The June 10 factory inspection and 80-bit order confirmation represent more than a single transaction. It is the beginning of a stable and performance-focused partnership.
As global drilling conditions continue to evolve, we remain committed to delivering high-performance PDC drill bits, reliable manufacturing standards, transparent production processes, and professional technical support.
We look forward to supporting successful drilling operations in Brazil and across South America.
Together, we build reliable solutions for challenging formations.
